about dischi volanti
at the end of the 70s/beginning of the 80s, italian singers were for the first time truly successful north of the alps. the songs of francesco de gregori, lucio dalla, fabrizio de andrè, angelo branduardi, gianna nannini, loredana bertè, alice, franco battiato, gabriella ferri and others at that time ignited my passion for italian music.
in the following years i started travelling regularly to milan, to buy the latest cds which i could not find anywhere in switzerland. at that time i was working as a cd sales assistant and started to import cds from italy for the shop.
the desire to turn my passion into my profession grew bigger. encouraged by the expansion of the internet i founded dischi volanti in 1997, with the aim of offering a wide range of italian cds to a worldwide audience.
since then dischi volanti has built up a loyal customer base all over the world. twice a month i travel to milan to my distributors, to pick up the ordered articles and to get information about the latest releases.
dischi volanti’s range is continuously widening. should you however not be able to find a specific title on my site, please contact me anytime at sr@dischivolanti.ch. i will undertake the necessary research and inform you as quickly as possible whether the desired titles can still be ordered.
